LSSN staff are involved in assessment and training of pupils in the use of laptop computers to support their learning and access to the curriculum. Specialised softeware is used in the LSSN base to support developing literacy and numeracy. Software to support the needs of dyslexic pupils is also available in the LSSN base.

Alternative Assessment Arrangements

Any pupil may request assessment of eligibility for sepcial arrangements for exams and tests from the LSSN team, who link with SQA to provide these. The City of Edinburgh have recently published guidelines for making special assessment arrangements and these are fully implented at Broughton.
